Optional visit to Pell Airstrip (10 Klm north Adelaide River)

https://www.worldwar2tourpellairstrip.com.au/

The tour starts at the front gate and is conducted in small groups. 8 persons in 2 utes.

Visitor vehicles are secured and left near the gate, inside or outside the fence. Secure.

Larger numbers, then would be a tour bus. I am now partnering with a Darwin tour group to bring tourists down from Darwin and could get a bus for the Thursday you have in Adelaide River. I am 10km from AR and around 15km from Coomalie.

Would need to get a13 seater bus set up with confirmed bookings.

Would have to ascertain cost before I commit to reduction re same.

The tour is detailed and does not lend itself to large numbers as I want everyone to be in earshot and involved.

It is very different to Coomalie with which some of your people will be familiar.

Allow 2 hours for the tour. We could do 8.30 and 11am if people wanted; as well as the afternoon tour at 3pm.

Tour would be $55pp payable in advance or by cash on the day. Receipts issued, just no credit card facilities.

Most people are surprised by the detail in the tour and it has favourable reviews on Trip Advisor.

Arrive Coomalie Airstrip (28 Klm from Adel.River) – Free camping / showers / toilets / good cooking facilities / party central – two nights stay – Host: Richard Loxton, who has reconstructed a complete WW2 Bomber and Fighter Base complete with WW2 Hospital, Chapel and control tower.
